Hi, I’m Sharon, owner and piercer at Sweet Needle Studio.
I created Sweet Needle Studio because I wanted to offer something different from the traditional piercing experience. My goal has always been to create a welcoming space where clients of all ages feel comfortable, listened to and excited about their piercing journey.
Whether you’re booking your very first piercing, adding to an ever-growing collection, or finally getting the piercing you’ve talked yourself out of for years, you’ll never be rushed here. Some of my favourite clients are those who walk through the door saying they’re “too old” for a piercing, worried they’re having a midlife crisis, or wanting to reclaim a little piece of their younger selves. My answer is always the same – you’re never too old to express yourself. Whether your style is subtle and elegant or full-on “go big or go home”, I’ll create something that’s perfect for you.
Over the years I’ve helped thousands of clients, from excited children having their first ear piercings to nervous adults in their 50s, 60s and beyond getting pierced for the very first time. Every client is different, and that’s exactly how I like it. I’m patient, honest and experienced, and whilst my brain is often full of random facts and unexpected conversations, I’ve yet to come across a situation I don’t know how to handle.
It’s perfectly okay to be nervous. It’s okay to ask questions. It’s okay to change your mind about placement, even if we need to mark it more than once. Your appointment is entirely your own and I’ll take the time to get everything just right. I won’t pierce until you’re completely happy.
Some clients need distraction, some need reassurance, some want to talk non-stop and some prefer peace and quiet. Whatever you need, I’ll adapt my approach to suit you. My job is not only to give you a beautiful piercing, but to make sure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire experience.
I often tell my clients that “what happens in the piercing room stays in the piercing room.” Whether you’ve shed a tear, felt a little embarrassed, needed your hand held or surprised yourself with how brave you were, you’ll always be met with kindness and absolutely no judgement.
Whilst Sweet Needle Studio is designed to be warm, welcoming and fun, professionalism, safety and quality will always come first. I am incredibly passionate about infection control, cleanliness, and jewellery quality. Every initial piercing carried out at Sweet Needle Studio is fitted with medical implant-grade titanium jewellery. I do not stock any other metal for initial piercings because I believe every client deserves the very best start to their healing journey. All jewellery is carefully selected with comfort, safety and long-term wear in mind.
Expect laughter, sweets, cuddles with the studio squishies, beautiful jewellery and a genuinely personal experience. Most importantly, expect to leave feeling confident, supported and excited about your new piercing.
